Hi John, The main difference between the temporal shift scale and the force time filters is that the temporal shift scale modifies the global time request, but the force time as no reference to the global time at all. I could have added a more complex transform to the temporal shift scale, but I found it easier to use the animation keyframe editor to setup the time evolution.
For your information, the typical use case I had was to make an animation were an object was evolving over time, and replicates of this object would be made at some specific times to get a "snapshot" effect : see several times of the same object on the same image side by side while the original continues to evolve. I found it impossible to do with the temporal shift scale. And the force time plugin is actually so simple...
