Eric, If I remember correctly, this filter is designed to work with ExodusIIReader alone. Exodus puts what it calls "Global Variables" in the FieldData, and this filter is generating a plot for that. It shouldn't be too hard to create a "Plot FieldData Over Time" filter modeled on vtkExtractArraysOverTime.
