This is a Python script. It can be executed by the Python interpreter in ParaView. There are a couple ways to do this, but the easiest is to bind the script to a macro. When the script pops up, select File -> Save as Macro. Once you save the script as a macro, a button with that name will show up in your toolbar.
I recommend reading about scripting in The ParaView Tutorial (http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/The_ParaView_Tutorial). It is covered in Chapter 4. -Ken From: Pei-Ying Hsieh <phsieh2...@yahoo.com<mailto:phsieh2...@yahoo.com>> Reply-To: Pei-Ying Hsieh <phsieh2...@yahoo.com<mailto:phsieh2...@yahoo.com>> Date: Thursday, October 31, 2013 1:57 PM To: Kenneth Moreland <kmo...@sandia.gov<mailto:kmo...@sandia.gov>>, paraview <paraview@paraview.org<mailto:paraview@paraview.org>> Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] [Paraview] record steps to a script so that it can be played back later Hi, Ken, Thanks for the reply! But, can you give a little more details? After I did "stop trace", paraview popped up a window with texts. It looks like this is python script. What do I do next? Do I have this as a python script? Then, how to use this script to process another case? Sorry about these stupid questions.
