Attached is the solution, there a small mistake in my origin script:

 vtkClientServerStream stream;
 stream << vtkClientServerStream::Invoke
              << VTKOBJECT(proxy)
               << SetValues
               << maxValues
               << stream.InsertArray(values, maxValues)
               << vtkClientServerStream::End;
