Zhen, Seems like the pvserver process is segfaulting/aborting. When does it happen, as soon as the client connects or after someone steps? It hard to gauge what could be going on. Is it possible for you to do a "debug" build of ParaView on your cluster and then run through gdb? If can get the callstack for the crash, we will have some clues.
