I was misled by http://www.gnu.org/software/dotgnu/libjit-doc/libjit_1.html (which is the first "External Link" suggested by Wikipedia). Curiously, the README from the December 2008 release still says The latest version of libjit will always be available from the Southern Storm Web site: http://www.southern-storm.com.au/libjit/ Ah, well. It's a volunteer project. I certainly have more than my share of stale websites. It does seem to *require* gcc. Specifically, my attempt to build the December 2008 release failed with "jit-apply-rules.h", line 1: #error: "gcc is required to detect the apply rules" Anyway, thanks for pointing out the correct link for the project. I have no strong opionion here, beyond the generic "Look before you leap". -- Andy Dougherty [email protected] _______________________________________________ http://lists.parrot.org/mailman/listinfo/parrot-dev
