GSoC projects might come from this list, or you might identify another need and propose something that isn't on the list. We need lots of improvements in various subsystems: GC, Threads, IO, OO, and lots of other internal things. We can give you plenty of ideas, and if you tell us what kind of stuff you are interested in we can help point you in the right directions.
