Yeah, we're currently doing a somewhat confusing thing where at install time, either "xpra.xposix" or "xpra.win32" is copied to "xpra.platform". This may well change again because it's sort of ugly and confusing. (Not as ugly as sprinkling conditionals at every import site, at least!) But, 'setup.py' should be setting that up automatically, you shouldn't need to be copying anything by hand.
