It has already been applied in 4.16.7. I found it this morning, just got around to putting it in patches today and hadn't seen the release.

Chasing moving targets like
stable kernel releases is rarely fun.  But I'm surprised that
anything in the kernel needed fixing - from my idle reading of lkml
I've seen various patches for gcc-8 issues being supplied.

And I'm glad DJ is looking at this (but I guess BLFS will be much
more of a problem, from a quick look at the Release Notes re g++).

Yeah, pretty sure BLFS will not be as easy, but I had to jump back in someplace, figured a new GCC release was as good a time as any...certainly justifies a new build (and another to confirm all of the changes along the way). :-)
