Hi everyone, I will be working on integrating PaStA (Patch Stack Analyzer)[1] with Patchwork as a part of my Google Summer of Code project. Mete has already looked into this a while back [2] and I will be building on top of the work done by him.
Specifically, I will be leveraging PaStA's ability to cluster similar patches. I plan to use the "relations" API [3] in Patchwork to relate a patch with other similar patches. This will help users to keep track of previous versions of a patch, patches referred to using the 'Link:' tag etc. Further PaStA is also able to map patches in the mailing list to the corresponding commit in the repository. This can be used to update commit references for a patch in Patchwork Some more detail is presented in my GSoC proposal [4] It would be great to hear about the views of the Patchwork community regarding this project. This would help us in better defining the work items and making informed architectural decisions regarding the interaction between PaStA and Patchwork.
