Aim     
This course aims to help organizations increase the effectiveness of their
training efforts and to help them ensure their training and development
initiatives support their business objectives. More specifically, this
course helps participants identify ways to plan, create and implement a
workable competency-based training and development system in their

Lum Woon Foong holds a Masters Degree in Training and Human Resources
Development from the University of Warwick, UK as well as a professional
accountancy qualification, Chartered Accountant, Malaysia. She also has two
accreditations with TAFE, South Australia: competency-based training and
education (CBTE) Instructor, and CBTE Curriculum Designer and Developer.

As a practitioner and consultant in competency-based training and
development for more than twelve years, Woon Foong has wide experiences in
implementing competencies in training needs analysis, strategic alignment of
training and development, curriculum and training design, and delivery of
training programs.

Woon Foong has served clients in a wide range of industries including
insurance, banking, manufacturing, retail and agriculture. She has also held
senior management positions in finance, human resource management and
training in organizations such as Coopers & Lybrand, Ernst & Young, Malayan
Cement and MCSB Systems.
