*GENERAL INFORMATION:* Rate: $45/hr on C2C Level: Mid level position Interviews: Telephonic Visa: Client is looking into US Citizen and Green-Card profiles as of now. Location: Rockville, MD - only tri-state candidates. Duration: 12 Months Job type: Contract on C2C Pay: Open to C2C/1099/W2 Title: Java Developer *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Possess high degree of technical competency to design and develop internet applications using cutting-edge tools and technologies Support implementation of new development methodologies in the Agile spectrum to transform development processes. Prepare High Level design that is in alignment with the client architectural strategies Participate in requirements walkthroughs to ensure that they are clear, concise and testable Ensure section 508 compliance of all web content and associated files such as PDF's Code, test, debug, implement and document complex programs. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensure programs meet standards and technical specifications; perform technical analysis and component delivery. Understand Java threading model required Have experience in developing Java multi-threaded applications Solid grasp on relational database modeling and design Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and the Apache Platform. A working knowledge of SQL and Bash Scripting. Experience with Apache HTTP Server and Microsoft SQL databases *REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * 6-8 years of experience in developing applications using Java/J2EE and WebServices Core technologies required: Java/J2EE, Google GWT, Struts, Design Patterns , UML Experience in implementing critical web-based applications for high-availability applications and experience in SOA a great plus Experience with test driven development, continuous integration and agile development such as Scrum Experience working in security initiatives projects along with project contingency, performance testing and load testing.
