I agree to all previous speakers but I doubt using the same MAC as the AP is gonna work but I haven't tried though.
You said you have a valid MAC, right? Faking the same MAC as the allowed wireless client leads to strange behavior while this client is also connected. That's at least my experience. In case you gain access to the AP's management console / portal (assumed a valid IP) you could add a similar looking MAC to the allowed table for future usage. Getting the used IP range is fairly easy if you have the valid WEP key. Just stay patient, at least some broadcasts will leak at some time.
