Bit torrent would be ok for sharing after the con but sharing during the event is harder because people seem to be happy leaving usb drives around but not their laptops.
It would have to be on a private network as we wouldn't want to go on the main Shmoocon network and max that one out even though it might give more people access if they could leave their machines in their rooms collecting data.
