Rick, We've blocked & set policies accordingly for Gotomypc & remotelyAnywhere/logmein in our infrastructure. House consel voiced concerns about proprietary information security.
However, if I understand your email correctly your internal users are reaching out to other machines in a support capacity. We have this issue and overcome this by getting a bomgar B100 device which works exactly like gotomypc but is totally under our control. Of course one needs to provide a wan facing ip address with tcp 80 & 443 ports. $.02 deposited. --- On Mon, 3/8/10, Rick Hayes <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Rick Hayes <[email protected]> > Subject: [Pauldotcom] GoToMyPC, GoToAssist, etc. > To: "PaulDotCom Security Weekly Mailing List" <[email protected]> > Date: Monday, March 8, 2010, 9:17 AM > I wanted to get consensus on the thoughts on > allowing access to GoToMyPC, GoToAssist, etc.for internal > users to an external entity.
