Yeah, but a logon screen also tells you a few things, like the domain the machine is in, the name of the machine, other trusted domains, etc - assuming it can send the keystrokes necessary to pull the dropdown before the screengrab. When you can't get to the regular SMB ports, this is all there is to go on.
