size, when I was at HP we worked some projects with the DOD and others where GC 
where in the several hundred of Gigabytes, for most deployments there is no 
problem but when you are talking about hundreds of thousands of extensions it 
does add up very quickly, specially since you have to support mixed 
environments with several versions of windows and exchange where you can not 
leverage some of the new improvements for replication.
