I hate perl (hence the non capitalization of it ;-) but one can't deny how easy it is. Python's TCP/IP and socket libraries are unmatched (Ruby is getting there fast) and it works with binary blobs and debugging better than the other 2. Metasploit is written in Ruby. According to the Metasploit devs, the object model in Ruby surpasses Python (I don't know enough about each language to understand what that means completely). The Rex library (Ruby Exploitation Library) is written in Ruby and is a part of the Metasploit Framework and makes exploit development (the automatable portions) a lot easier. Plus Rex and MSF Core have a ton of other features that make tool creation (module creation) a snap too.
