It is still working fine and I've dusted off my old lab and improved it but
was just wondering if there was something new and shiny that people were
using instead.

I've set up something quite cool, I can start X machines in a given IP
range, each gets a random IP and the services that start are based on a
biased random system, 80% chance of ssh server, 70% chance of web, 40% of
FTP etc. Means each time I restart the lab I get something completely new.
There are also a fixed number of machines in there which are the targets
the testers are searching for.
