I think it should be counter-revolutionary or reactionary, as those apparent attempts by Malema to deliberately misinform, twist facts and distort the political reality about the Azanian revolution and PAC's most succesful campaign amounts only to counter-revolution. None among the true Azanian patriots must let quislings like Malema deface the history of the PAC. For without that bold and courageous Postive Action campaign under the principled leadership of Robert Sobukwe we would not have seen major upsurges by the African masses throughout the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and in the early 90s, having eliminated the fear of oppressors laws, courts and jails including enemy bullets, rising in large numbers determined to dislodge the fascist settler-colonialist regime by whatever means at their disposal. Indeed, all historical accounts, acknowledge that the action by the PAC was a major watershed and a turning point in the struggle for freedom in occupied Azania. This was at the time the ANC's captured leadership was dilly-dalling, relenting and wavering while seeking ways to appease the oppressive regime. Such treacherous acts of cowardice by the ANC on the alter of political expediency must be constantly exposed. Long Live PAC!! Long Live the fighting Spirit of Mangaliso Sobukwe!! Media Statement MALEMA MUST STOP TELLING LIES ABOUT PAC! The Pan Africanist Youth Congress (PAYCO) of Azania rejects ANCYL President, Julius Malema,'s foolish lies that the PAC 'hijacked' the Positive Action Campaign which resulted in Sharpeville-Langa massacres, on 21st March 1960. For Malema's information, this was a national campaign which took place throughout the country and Sharpeville got the prominence because multitudes of unarmed and peaceful protesters, were killed by trigger-happy apartheid police. Malema is just a Mickey-mouse pop star who lives in Disney world and knows nothing about the history of the liberation struggle. We will never allow this political baffoon to rape the proud rich liberation struggle credentials of PAC and screw the history of this country. A high school drop-out like Malema who cannot even pass woodwork cannot be expected to grapple with curious subjects like history. It is only in the ANC were fools like him are allowed to occupy leadership positions. The fact of history is that PAC organized and led the Positive Action Campaign and the ANC rejected an invitation from PAC founding President Mangaliso Sobukwe. Through its then Secretary General, Duma Nokwe, the ANC refused to participate in the march saying "ANC is not going to participate in this protest because it lacks proper planning and it has no prospects of success". We will never allow the history of the liberation struggle of our people to be distorted and shall defend our struggle credentials by any means necessary. If Malema does not publicly apologize for his lies, he will suffer the same fate as those thugs who tried to disrupt the unveiling of the Langa Monument by the PAC on the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the Sharpeville-Langa massacres in Langa on Sunday. Malema will not be allowed to misinform our youth and we would like to take a platform to educate this counter reactionary populist and political adolescencent about the history of Sharpeville-Langa Massacres.
