Greetings Cde Linda, I've been following debates and discussions in this forum for over seven years now without commenting but this post touched me very deeply and found it necessary that I should comment. I can't put it any better Cde Linda in actually fact this is one of those rare moments where I agree with you. I've personally been a victim of "marxism phobia" in the party for many years now and from various ranks including high revered party veterans and stalwarts.
If Pan Africanism is devoid of socialism/marxist-leninism it cease to be Pan Africanism, it become an unimaginable animal that only primitive fools can even dare entertain. It is very interesting to note as you have correctly captured it comrades praising Nkrumah, Cabral, CLR James, Rodney, etc but still rejecting socialism. It clearly demonstrate that our comrades just don't read, they are irredeemable "philistines". It is unfortunate that this embarrassing state of our cadreship is maintained by those in charge of party machinery so that they can sustain their hold on party machinery and continue to advance neo-liberal reform of the party. What is even more sad though Cde Linda is the fact that the genuine socialist tendency in the party is so weak and marginalised mainly because its too fragmented. Kind revolutionary regards VM On 9 January 2013 13:47, linda ndebele <kwamendeb...@webmail.co.za> wrote: > Revolutionary greetings! > > When we took over office in PAYCO we resolved to revitalise the socialist > aspects of the PAC that had been tarnished completely.
