This is an initiative of the Austrian Ministry of Education, Science and Culture in the framework of the ASEM process. On the occasion of the "ASEM Science and Technology Ministers Conference" in Beijing, in presence of ministers of science and technology from 10 Asian and 15 European countries as well as representatives of the European Commission, Austria agreed to establish a "FOCAL POINT" in order to foster the scientific exchange between the European Community and Asia and in order to promote initiatives connected with sustainability, environmental research and environmental technologies with special emphasis on "Cleaner production Technologies". This discussion list is one of the activities initiated (for more information see <http://www.asem-focalpoint-cp.org/> http://www.asem-focalpoint-cp.org . It is the intention of this discussion list actively to exchange information on Clean and Sustainable Production and to contribute to the mutual flow of knowhow and communication between the two continents. We will concentrate on the exchange of information between practitioners, scientists and business people. The real performance of the activity will mainly depend on YOU and YOUR input. We will try to stimulate the discussion as much as possible and we will try not to leave too many questions open. We have chosen YOU as one of the partners in this group since we know that you are active in Cleaner Production and/or Sustainable Economic Development. Nevertheless, if you don't want to be on this mailing list, just press the REPLY button and type UNSUBSCRIBE. But we hope you will stay with us! Please let us also know if there is someone else who might be interested in participating in this network and send us her/his data.
