Hi Larry.  The first thing I'd suggest is to not get the exact make and 
model sound card for the second one.  As for screen readers I'd make the 
current sound card as the default and that way Window-eyes will work 
with it.  I believe with jfw you can specify which sound card to use 
regardless of which is the default.  Then install the new card and use 
it for what ever recording needs you wish.
