For people in the UK there is either the pc card or usb box that will pick up freeview and also audio description on the channels which carry it. The software is a little tricky but is usable by using the JAWS cursor. You can also record in mp2 or mpeg formats. The card and box are available from http://www.nebula-electronics.com/ and costs around £120.
