did you used to get a hissing noise when you plugged your speakers into that
card, because i get perfect sound from my speakers and when i plug my
transmitter into either lineout, headphones or where my speakers are plugged
into, i get the hiss and the cut in transmission strength.

It sounds like the card then. I still have that computer, and will try my
transmitter in it, and see if I get the hissing noise. I would be
interested to find out, if it is indeed the card.
