You will find the access number as soon as you start the XM software. There is no need to change to channel 0 with the pcr. With the PCR, the only time you'll see the 8 character receiver code is when you first execute the XMPCR software so write it down or record it before you hit the OK button. There's a piece of software that replaces the XMPCR software that will give you better access called ReplacePCR, but I don't remember the web site.
