Hi, it might not be the best thing for the records, but what has worked for me, when a record has been badly abused, like some of mine are. use a spray bottle, with water and a little shot of vinegar in it, mist the record, and play it before it is dry. you can wipe off the access water with a soft cloth, or paper towel, don't know why, but it seems to improve the quality. hope this helps ron
