Total Recorder Professional Question

I'm considering upgrading from Total Recorder Standard to Total Recorder 
Professional. One of the features that interests me is the ability to split 
files while recording using a "split files now" button. My question for 
anyone using Total Recorder Professional is this. Is the "split files now" 
button easily accessible through a keyboard command or other means? Also, do 
you see any other significant advantages to TR professional over TR 
standard?

streams/feeds. If so what version of Audacity are you using?
I am looking for a simple recording program to record internet
