If you are running XP you may have an option in your record section of

JP What you hear is a function of creative sound cards, not xp.
So depending on which sound card is installed, and how the various controls in andy's system are labeled, he may not have a what you hear. If he has 1 sound card, and is using it for speech synthesis, then he may be better advised to record from the line-in rather than the on-line broadcast.

I'm not too sure about this stuff, so have a look at your sound card properties and give it a go.

Unless you plan on extensive editing
I would be sure that all sound effects are turned off including screen
readers. What you hear records anything coming through the system.

then where does the learning start?
