Ann, yes, there is a setting for seconds but I don't recall just where I saw it. Successful splitting does vary from one file to another because the files are not generally as clean & consistent as we would hope. I once split a file which finished so fast I thought it had failed, but when I found the word "found" the number 17 was in front of it & there were indeed 18 files, I think you always get one extra.
