Hi Kevin, Thank you for the help. I went and downloaded the demo version of 6.6, installed it, and then tried to copy a CD. It worked without any problems, so that was the problem I was having. And it turns out I was mistaken. I didn't have version 6. I had version 5.5. I don't know how I convinced myself that I had version 6. I guess I'm going to have to purchase this version 6.6 right? By the way, I do believe my burner is new. This whole computer system is farely new, as I've only had it for about four months now. The burner is a lite-on. Thanks again for the help. Terri
