Hi Kathy, Here some basic Goldwave shortcuts: ctrl+F9 = record ctrl+F8 = stop recording F4 = play F5 = rewind F6 = fast forwar F7 = pause F8 = stop [ = start selection ] = end selection shift+E = opens a dialog box where you can change the start and end of selection ctrl+T = trim the unselected parts ctrl+s = save
So, as you can see, [ and ] work in Goldwave as well. In the beginning I also had a problem to understand the concept of selection and moving through the file in Goldwave because I firstly learned using Sound forge like you. But you need only practise.
