Hi Jerry.  I listened to a CD that I copied.  I decided that I would try 
this:  I copied the CD to the clipboard, then went to My Computer, and local 
disk C, and pasted it in.  I then went into Soundforge Noisereduction to 
remove the noise.  Then I copied that to the clipboard.  I went back to the 
original file.  Then I pasted the reduced noise file back into the CD. I 
hope this doesn't sound as complicated.

    Gary!  When you say you've copied some CDs, do you mean that you 
ripped
them or played them and recorded the audio?  There's a big difference. 
What
software did you use?
    You can probably take the noise out with Noise Reduction but if you've
ripped them and they are noisy then you ought to rip them again.
    I don't understand what you said about copying and the clipboard.
