The one program which allows you to capture audio streams simultaneously while using software speech, and does not capture the software speech at all, is Total Recorder. Perhaps other software has this ability, but in my experience, Goldwave and Sound Forge do not have it. Probably Wavepad doesn't either.
In order for this to work with Total Recorder, under Settings off the Options menu, the two check boxes for Use Directly have to be checked. Also, there was a time when it didn't work on my system, and the folks from HighCriteria sent me a .reg file which altered the registry so that JFW and TR could coexist.
