My PC came with a vasic version of WinDVD. It seems like there was a list of keystrokes in the help section. Try hitting alt + h for help. I am at work so can't check it out right now. I have tried using Windows Media Player but it did not recognize the WinDVD software. I can play DVD's through Real Player, though. in WinDVD just try hitting alt and see what menu comes up then look around there.
