Ctrl-r to get into the recording options. alt-r to actually record. Enter to stop. Space to play.

HellO!
I have downloaded a trial of soundforge 8.
But it seems not that simple to record sounds whith it as in goldwave.
Even though i think it is, the thing isw how to understand to do.
I have understood that i should press ctrl + r or alt+r to record.
And then esc to stop.
But when i tries to play the sound by pressing alt + p and selecting one of the alternatives in the listbox soundforge says there is no data in my file.
My soundcard is a soundblaster live and i am using windows xp home.
I have hal 6.50 pro installed.
THe recording source in the volume control is set to what u hear.
And i am hearing evrything i am saying through my mick.
Is there something more i have to think about.
THanks fore any help.
/Anders.
