Sorry for not replying for a while regarding this question. The green and yellow modes of playing are identical. They both do the very same thing. However, if you change, for example, the yellow mode of playing, to play un-selected and the green to selected, you can listen to the audio you are intending to keep and the audio you are intending to cut by pressing F4 for the green mode and Shift F4 for the other.

Thank you. Your help did work but it was the yellow loop that was checked ... not the green one. What's the difference between the two?

Press F11 and tab over to the Play options. Tab down until you hear "Green Play Loop" Change this to 1 and Goldwave will play the audio file once.
