Have you always had this problem?
can you turn speech off & play music?
if so, it sounds like you have a single channel sound card.

Subject: simply playing music

Hi:
Well, from this note you will see I am not an audiophile, but, I do have a query.
I think I know the answer, but, I'll ask anyhow.
I am using win amp 5.08. Using win eyes and software speech. Lots of memory and disk space.
However, I cannot play any of my music. I get an error stating I either have a bad driver or my sound card is not available.
I am using creative oddigy card.
So, is it because I am using software speech and the sound card is tied up, is that why I cannot play music?
If so, is there an answer?
Thanks for helping a novice when it comes to audio.
Don
