You can have both on your system, and not have any problems.  As of today, 
that's exactly what I've 
done.

I assume it wouldn't hurt if rss and ipoder were both on your system?
I assume you could use rss for the text feeds and ipoder for the podcasts?
I like the idea of the listing of podcasts in ipoder,  especially if it
gets updated occasionally.
