hi

That's really cool. But I would need to get some kind of unit that is easy to use and will allow me to do voice recordings.
So one that will let me hook it up to my computer via USB and transfer files to it, and the ability to record with it and actually be able to use the player effectively is what I really want.
Will the iRiver 340 let me do that? I've heard about the iRiver IHP 120, but looking around it seems to have been discontinued.

ALSO YOU DON'T NEED TO USE ROCKBOX. THE IRIVER 340 AND I THINK THE OTHERS AS
WELL WORK LIKE AN EXTERNAL HARDRIVE. SO YOU CAN USE IT IN WINDOWS EXPLORER.
IT HOOKS UP VIA USB AND SHOWS UP AS A HARDRIVE IN EXPLORER.

Subject: iRiver portable Jukebox and rockbox?

Hi folks We've been talking about the Archos Jukebox in conjunction with the Rockbox firmware which makes the Archos Jukebox accessible to blind/visually impaired people. I visited the site today, http://www.rockbox.org and I couldn't find a page that clearly listed the players that were supported. I know that info has got to be there somewhere but I couldn't locate a clear list of them. I've heard that some people got the iRiver portable mp3 players to work with Rockbox, is this true? If it is, which models does it actually work with, and how much are they? I'm definitely in the market for one, particularly a model that has a voice recorder with it. So any info would be great.

Thanks.
