I had a couple DVD's that wouldn't play through. It turned out they needed
cleaning, so we used a damp cloth to clean the surface.

Hi Sharon.
It's possible that either the CD's you've ripped lately have surface
issues
such as finger prints or dirt and this is causing jitter during the rip.
It's also possible that it's your CD-ROM. If you have a second drive may
be
worth ripping from there and comparing.
