I'm going to be doing that with a bug that I found, which is that when
Winamp 5.1 is installed, another recording program that I have, namely
Replay Music, cannot access CDDb and won't record. If I uninstall the new
winamp and re-install Winamp 5.09, the problem resolves itself. Also, .pls
streams along with others that aren't even related to Winamp won't play from
within Internet Explorer when 5.1 is installed. Again, if I re-install 5.09,
the problem goes away. I'm unhappy with the number of critical bugs that are
showing up in recent Winamp versions and I'm looking for something else that
will play pls files that isn't quite so buggy. Either freeware or shareware
is fine. I don't mind paying for what works. Meanwhile, making the
developers aware of the problem is a good idea.
