Many thanks, All sorted, not the CMOS, not the sound card drivers it was some file in sound forge that was corrupted. Reinstalled S.F and all sorted.

Everything you have should auto detect after that though you may have to restart the machine twice. Make sure you have a sighted person there just in case if you are blind. If that doesn't work I would reinstall the sound card drivers.
