My mic is connected to the mic jack on the Turtle Beach. It always was
extremely noisy for a $99 wireless mic, but if I use the stereo mix option,
and play an existing file through it into the recording on playback again
that gets flattened to pretty much mid range only. How do I get to the
equalizer settings that apply to the recording settings to turn it up so it
about matches playback? Windows update keeps insisting that I update my
Turtle Beach driver to a C-Media driver, and good thing for system restore
as that makes it always sound bad. I think that C-Media probably should
apply to the onboard sound, not the turtle beach, but windows wants it on
the turtle beach.
