Subject: Re: Portable Hard-Disk-Based Audio Players I now a days carry a Dell Axim X50V with a 1 GB SD card and I have all the music I need. Mobile Speak Pocket runs great with it and the audio quality is comparable to a decent flash disk based mp3 player. There are two reviews of Mobile Speak Pocket here: http://www.triumphonic.com/demos/mspdemo.mp3 http://libsyn.com/media/wormcast/msp.mp3 Before the moderator throws me out, I am going to shut up on this topic. I don't know about the palm OS, but the pocket pc which is the equivalent of Microsoft and there is great audio software for that is accessible. There are two screen readers for that, pocket hal from Dolphin systems, and mobile speak pocket from Code factory. I haven't tested any of them myself, but pocket hal looks very promissing from a demonstration that I heard recently. Regards. Does anyone know if any progress has been made to make Palms talk? I just saw an audio player that does just about everything--no playlists required, has gapless and crosssfading capabilities, two different kinds of bookmarks (user-definable and auto-restart), ... just about all the really good features. But it runs on a Palm! _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com.
