thanks for that.
i just came back to my pc after an hour or so and the rockbox home page had
loaded fully why i was away.
i've now clicked on the link to see which other players it could work with
and it is doing the same as before.
i'll re-boot my router and see if that is the problem, as on the odd
occasion i have had a problem like this on a website while other sites work
ok and it has been solved with a re-boot.
do you happen to know if the archos gmini 402 is one of the machines that
they intend making the rockbox work with.

First, the site is still at www.rockbox.org. Secondly, I am able to
get to it and read it easily from here.

as i have been trying to visit it over the last couple of days using both
internet explorer and firefox but the page either comes up with just 2
blank lines or it never finishes loading.
