Hi Donna. If you burn some of your on-board mp3's and play these through your hi-fi, is the quality any better than what you get with your patch cord connection?
You raise a very good point Donna. Another list member has advised that JVC have usb connections these days, but as you said, if the on-board sound card is of low quality, then it would be a waste of time. The Griffin imac!
