There is a tool named Bestmidi2mp3 which can convert any midi file to wav or 
mp3 but only in mono.
I have already sent the link for the program to the list.

A midi file is not a sound file as such, so you can't just convert it like 
you would a wave, Vorbis or MP3 file.
