I'm not having any luck getting speech out of my first sound device after installing an Audigy Pro 4. I also changed the jfw.ini file as directed and things got worse. I'd get a bit of speech from jaws then the system would appear to lock up. Narrator won't even work. Only way I get any speech is to have the Audigy as the default playback audio device. There was no problem using the ac'97 card for speech before I added the Audigy.
