Hello Gary, On Friday, April 28, 2006, 1:17:30 AM, you bellowed the following: > Suggest better sound card.
How about the M-Audio Delta Audiophile 24/96? They're probably pretty cheap now with the release of the 24/192. I think I payed $129 for it three years ago, and have recently seen it for about $79 or so. May be even less now. Just a very basic I/O: two sets of RCA for input and output, as well as a breakout cable for midi and sp/dif. I have one, and it's a very clean card. Recording at 24-bit, I can get a SNR of about -90 DB or so. You'll probably not want to use this as your main sound card, as it's a waste of such good hardware to run speech through it, but definitely very nice for general audio playback and recording stuff. Because of the way it's designed, you'll most likely never need to play with the input level of the card itself, unless you have no control of the output from your analog source to the card. -- Good Friday, -- Patrick Perdue (MCP, CNA) KE4DYI Greensboro, NC website: http://www.pdaudio.net home: +1(828)221-2971 Mobile phone and SMS: +1(336)509-5583 e-mail and .net messenger: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> skype: Borris -------------------- For anything related to the yamaha motif line of keyboards and modules, subscribe to the motif-help mailing list by sending a blank message to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com.
